About ME A journalism student with a dream My name is Jade Bramwell and I am from Jackson, NJ. I currently attend The Pennsylvania State University majoring in Broadcast Journalism, receiving a minor in African American Studies with a Diversity Studies Certificate from the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications. I have created work in many aspects of communications including editorial, video production, broadcast journalism, content creation and more. My goal is to create content showcasing diverse stories for all communities. As a Black journalism student, I have seen the impacts of why diversity and inclusion inside the media are important and plan on continuing the legacy within my career. My dream is to become a successful entertainment journalist, with the dream of having my own talk show or advice column. Television Journalism PSN TV- November 27 , 2023 In this package, I reported on the Transgender Remembrance Vigil at Penn State! The vigil is hosted annually through Penn State’s Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity! I interviewed staff members inside of the center and explored it's importance for the State College community. Culture Reports- October 18, 2023 In this segment of Culture Reports, I discussed the updated Senate dress code, HIV Awareness Month, and a new State College business! PSN TV- October 9, 2023 This was my first on-air package for Penn State Network News! In this package, I interviewed the Penn State chapter of the NAACP to discuss their annual block party for new students on campus. During the beginning of the school year many students might not know where to start for joining clubs on campus or finding community, this package explains why diverse spaces like this create that environment on Penn State's campus. Culture Reports- October 3, 2023 This was my first segment for my new on air segment "Culture Reports" where I discuss news, pop culture and Penn State! As anchor, I tell you all updates relevant to communities of color. In this segment, I discussed the upcoming municipal election, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Victoria Monet.
